Mission

We fight for Food Quality & Access for minority and low income people by pushing legislation and increasing awareness about how food impacts our health, economy and climate.

Combat Climate Change: We must drastically alter food production to prevent the most catastrophic effects of global warming

Access to healthy food should not be reserved for the rich: About 23.5 million people live in food deserts. Nearly half of them are also low-income

Corporations and corrupt politicians are putting profit over our health: Poor water quality due to old infrastructure. Big agriculture has bought our politicians so that they can increase their pesticide and fossil fuel fertilizer user

We are all in this fight together: We are all effected by poor food quality, no matter what race, gender, age or political party. Join us in the fight!

Goals

We will not stop fighting until every one of our goals is achieved!

01.

Increase Food Quality, so that America is at the forefront of food & water health.

02.

End Food Deserts.

03.

Make sure that clean water is accessible to everybody, regardless of location or income.

04.

Farming in a sustainable way, so that we can combat climate change.

History

What is Justus & Food?

We Fight Big Agriculture

When Trump approved a rule for the pork industry on September 17th, 2019, he deregulated parts of the process that makes sure the nation’s pork supply is safe to eat. This deregulation largely went unnoticed by the public and we saw a need for our organization.

We Fight Food Oppression

After researching food desserts (an urban area in which it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food.) we found that Michelle Obama pledged to end them in 2017. It is 2020 and the problem is still prevalent and our organization has seen this first hand. We will fight to end food deserts and address the other issues that contribute to a poor diet, such as racism, people being time poor, people being cash poor. Our fight is not only with food deserts, it is with food oppression as a whole.

We Fight for Food and Climate Rights

We have made it our mission to bring light to food & water policy in the United States. We work with like minded organizations and build partnerships with people that share our vision of a healthy, renewable food source that combats the effects of climate change. Our organization was built to address the problems that are caused by poor food production and distribution. We fight for a better climate, better health outcomes and more business opportunities.
